From 2005 to 2009, Dr. André Frank was an in-house consultant for model-based development and functional safety within the Bosch Group. Prior to this, the physicist gained experience in the field of imaging processes and analyses to ensure product quality, as well as the implementation of the CMMI model in the field of engine control unit hardware development at Robert Bosch GmbH. Since 2009, Dr. André Frank has headed the evaluation unit for the functional safety of "Valisure" electric/electronic systems. Since 2018, this position has been transferred within the Group from Bosch Engineering GmbH to Robert Bosch GmbH in the central unit Mobility Solutions - Systems Engineering and Technical Strategy.
In his current position as Evaluation Lead of Functional Safety - Valisure at Bosch he is responsible for defining functional safety testing procedures and planning and implementing safety audit and safety assessment procedures within the Bosch Group in accordance with the international safety standard ISO 26262.
