Dr. Devesh Upadhyay leads a group of scientists and engineers engaged in pushing the state of the art in Machine Learning and challenging the status quo with industry-driven open questions. The focus of his group is to go beyond demonstration on the “validation set” and ask the questions that may upset the apple cart. Dr. Upadhyay has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Ohio-State University. In addition to ML Dr. Upadhyay has worked extensively on modeling complex behavior of nonlinear systems and control theory. His interests in ML extend to learning methods, ML-based decisioning, physics constrained data-driven ML techniques and causal inferencing.
