Jamie is Director of Veoneer’s North American Technical Center. He has served the automotive industry for more than 20 years, all within a culture of safety and with a devotion to providing value to society by making roadway experiences safer for everyone. He has played key R&D leadership roles in defining and delivering advanced technologies across occupant and unprotected road user safety electronics, including active & passive fusion solutions.
Jamie is passionate about the real value AVs can bring to our society in myriad ways, with none more important than reducing the number and severity of crashes. However, there is no contract with society that says we should trust AVs. Therefore, the self-driving vehicle cannot be just a machine; it must be the reflection of trustworthy people who bring it to life.
Previously, Jamie contributed to vehicle safety electronics innovation in technical leadership roles within Autoliv, Visteon, and Ford Motor Company. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
