Mark Hoy is a Senior Staff Security Research Engineer at NIO-US where he is focused on the cybersecurity of NIO’s electric and autonomous cars that include the ES 8, ES 6, and recently announced ES 6 Coupe.

Prior to NIO, Mark worked at VMware, McAfee/Intel, and other large Silicon Valley companies on cybersecurity. Mark has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia. In his spare time, he volunteers as an assistant scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America.

On May 28, 2019, the first production model ES6 rolled off the line at the JAC NIO Advanced Manufacturing Center. NIO officially began deliveries of the ES6 on June 18, 2019.
