Matheus de Almeida is the machine learning engineer for the filament labs team at Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America, Inc. With a background in robotics, machine learning, and computer vision applications, he focuses on leveraging existing and upcoming technologies to assist the development of models for object detection and other technologies that support the enhancement of performance.

The opportunity to take research and apply it to real-world applications feeds my interest to solve complex problems using cutting-edge technology. The nature of the work with the filament labs team merges each team members unique experiences which allow me to keep engaged with talented engineers. It is incredibly satisfying to constantly learn and grow intellectually in a field that is consistently bringing a positive impact to people’s lives.
