Monica (Yu-Ju) Hsu works as Vehicle Control Engineer at TuSimple and is responsible for designing and developing software systems and internal tools for autonomous heavy trucks/class 8. Her tasks and responsibilities include:

• Integrating vehicle system including Engine Control Unit, Transmission Control Unit, Brake Control Module, and Cab Control Module ECU to achieve level 4 autonomy
• Resolving vehicle integration issues involving the electrical system, vehicle control software, hardware configuration, and control algorithm calibration
• Defining functional safety for longitudinal/lateral control strategy and also the entire vehicle fail-safe strategy

Monica holds a Master´s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University.
