Qi Hommes is Head of System Safety at Waymo. As a safety expert with over 15 years of experience in the automotive industry Qi´s specialties lay on System Safety, Systems Engineering, Functional Safety, Automotive Electronics Safety and System Architecture Design. Qi holds a Certified Six-Sigma Black Belt and received her P.h.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Waymo stands for a new way forward in mobility. They started as the Google self-driving car project in 2009 and became an independent self-driving technology company under Alphabet in 2016. Waymo´s mission is to make autonomous driving safer and easier for people and things to move around.
